The “Cycle” series is a monthly output of tracks intended for close friends to incorporate into their DJ sets. Volume 3 consists of selected tracks from the series that have proven their worth as functional dance floor tools while simultaneously offering fresh ideas in sound design and production techniques.

This selection is tailored for dark, cozy dance floors and well-tuned sound systems. Opening the EP is Lines in the Desert, a minimal stomper featuring an atonal polyrhythmic synth line, bubbly low end, and stereophonic high-end haze. Track two, Particalized, is true to its name: a pure mind trip of rhythmic layers folding in on themselves before shooting out and dissolving across the stereo field. Wavering, the third track, moves into lighter psychedelic territory, with a playful synth line inspired by the likes of Terry Riley. Wrapping up the release is Off Planet, a meditative track built around a single granular pad and subdued kick.
